Day One at the First AWS re: Invent Conference

If the welcome reception at the first-ever Amazon Web Services global AWS re: Invent user conference is any indication, this is going to be an exciting and buzz-worthy event! The exhibit hall was much more crowded than I anticipated, and the energy in the room was palpable. While some could chalk that up to Las Vegas, I know better.

The show floor has a developer’s lounge (complete with a ping pong table), live stage featuring new innovative companies, and dozens of booths. Folks are gearing up for keynotes from some of Amazon’s most prestigious leaders, including Jeff Bezos (CEO), Werner Vogels (CTO), and Andy Jassy (SVP). Not to mention, dozens of sessions covering major trends around cloud, security, and big data, just to name a few.

Not here? Not to worry! Follow us for more coverage from the keynotes and the sessions. Our live blog stream will be hosted on Smart Enterprise Exchange, which you can follow through the AWS2012 tag. And you can follow us on Twitter @SmartEnterprise, @CloudCommons and @CA_Cloud.
